POPSICLES

These guys love a good popsicle! If it is slightly warm, we must lay on the trampoline and eat popsicles and of course giggle! How can you not when your high on sugar!

Popsicles! Popsicles! Popsicles!

ZOO!!

We went to the Boise Zoo last week! They just got Giraffes and Lions! The new part of the Zoo is very nice! The xylophone. They have a new school section where they house the lions. Halle is teasing Kara a little bit here and Brent is pretending not to notice!

Kara debating whether she should touch the xylophone and cause Halle's wrath, which seems to be rather fun for the children!

Climb, climb, climb! They were monkey's in their previous life!

Halle really wanted to be a monkey too, but was having a rather frustrating time!

Hayden and Kara looking in the Giraffe exhibit!

The Giraffes are really close to you and they look so huge when you are viewing them so close!

This is the penguin picture! It takes about 20 minutes of yelling to catch this picture of no one looking at the camera! It is a horrible picture I don't know why I keep taking it!

EASTER PICTURES

I just love my kiddos! I love to see them hug!
How hard is it to get a picture with everyone looking at the camera and smiling??
Kelton!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kara and Halle(:
Guns for the boys and babies for the girls! Who is that Easter Bunny!
What a beautiful Easter Day we had! It really felt like Spring! Every year I take a million pictures at Easter and I don't think I ever get one of everyone looking! The consistency of seeing the consecutive pictures of the children moving about in a matter of seconds really baffles me!
My handsome boys! They are brothers!
"CHEESE!" Kelton wanted to know "Who really is the Easter Bunny?" He wants to know who is in that bunny costume?

Halle was so excited about everything. She thought everything was so great!
Kara was very helpful!
We had church at 8:30 in the morning so the kids waited until after church to see their baskets. I was very impressed with how good they were about not getting into the baskets until after church! Kelton asked "Mom why can't we have general conference every week!" He liked having church at home. We looked for eggs after church and had Grandma and Grandpa over for dinner. Then that night we had family home evening with Grandma Benge, the Kleven family, and grandma and grandpa. Brent sang, Kara gave a talk, Grandma shared her egg lesson, then we had some strawberry shortcake! It was nice and simple. It did seemed like I spent all day Saturday getting ready for Sunday! I try to do things really simple, but it still takes me forever!
My little Halle and Kelton are sleeping right now as I blog! Kelton never naps, but he was so tired! My house is definitely messy!

Dyeing Easter Eggs!

Kelton was so tired!
Kara and Hayden

Halle thought dyeing eggs was the best!

Hayden's primary teacher was writing all the temporal ways we celebrate Easter! He wrote Dying Eggs on the chalkboard! How would you like your spelling corrected by a bunch of 9 year olds??

Halle wondered why the egg dye smelled so stinky!

Kara & Kelton get their Yellow Belts!

Another Belt for my Taekwondo Kids!

Favorite Outfits

So how come their favorites are usually not your favorites? Kelton loves these Red pants and this Skeleton shirt! He would wear it everyday if he could! Halle picked her clothes out today and got all dressed. I said "How about some jeans?" She said "Why?" I said, "Well I think jeans would look good with your shirt?" She said, "but they aren't pink, I like pink, see (pointing to the color of her shirt) pink (then pointing to the color of her pants) pink, it matches." Who can argue with that!

So Halle and Kelton were going down to Grandma's house and she wanted to leave right away, but she cannot get the back gate open by herself, so she said to Kelton, "I will wait for you." Kelton gets distracted and Halle calls out, "Kelton if you don't hurry you will be a stinker! OK I'm leaving, GOODBYE.... BYE Kelton I'm just going to leave!"

Playdate!!

The most beautiful day of the Month! Since it was sunny we tried to stay outside all day so we wouldn't miss a moment of the sun!! You never know how long it will be until you get another day like this! Me and a friend trade kiddos every Tuesday! It has really ended up being fun! The kids look forward to it every week!
Halle thinks her little friend is chasing her!

These two are so funny together! I love listening to 2 and 3 year olds talking to each other. I wonder if they really are understanding one another, sometimes it really seems like they do, and other times I am positive they are on different planets.

Halle and her little friend! Halle saw Chloe in her little sweat suit and wanted to match her. They almost look like twins! Well I guess their coloring is a little off!!!
Don't you love when your kids get to that age when you can finally have a friend over and it is not called babysitting. With my first one I kept having little friends over when he was so little and thinking "wow this is a lot of work!" Now I have friends over and I think "Are there kids in my house?" They are just off playing and playing and playing!

Hayden's Power Point Presentation!

Hayden did a power Point presentation on Roger Federer the Tennis player! This is Hayden and his fellow students that presented that day!

Hayden did a great job! His teacher is the best! We are so grateful to have such a wonderful teacher that spends so much time helping our kids succeed!!!!!

HOW COME??

So How Come sometimes I am so motivated to clean my house and put up the holiday decorations, make healthy food, exercise, and do all those things that make you feel like your a good mom? While other times I just look at my kitchen and really have to push myself to clean it, take a shower, go exercises, and get out the wreath for my front door! I did however change my blog from black in celebration of the beautiful weather! I am soooooo HAPPY and GRATEFUL for this beautiful weather!!! Doesn't it make you want to just go and jump on the trampoline (especially if you can still jump with out peeing your pants)!
I love this toothless grin! When I am feeling down, and then I see this little toothless smile, it just makes me want to smile too!
I love my little Halle's looks! She is becoming such a little grown up!!

So here it is my one Easter decoration! If it were up to Brent I think I would constantly be redecorating, but I like this Idea of just getting out one item and having only one item to put away! I think I am a little boring that way, or just a little lazy. I guess boring would be the nice term, but if I am being honest it would have to be lazy!
The door ornament!! This always is such a pain for me, but I do like the way they look! I don't know why I dread to put up the wreath on the door, but I have to admit I do.

Enquiring Minds Want to Know!

I have two little Children that live at my house that really have been pondering! My 5 year old and my now 7 year old (I can't believe she is 7, it seems like only yesterday she was turning 5) have been thinking a lot about the Universe!

Kelton: "Where does God live?" "Is it close by?" "Where is heaven?" "Is it close by?"

Kara: "What was before GOD?" "How did God become God?" "How did it all Start?" "The universe never ends!" Oh yeah and here is a good one from Kara! Don't you just love these questions! "How come boys and girls look different naked?" Guess what my answer was, "That is how we know who the boys are and who the girls are!!!" Well it worked for now no more questions on the genitalia of girls and boys. I am glad she liked my answer. I thought it was a rather amazing answer. Only a genius could come up with that one LOL!

I remember filling my head with these questions as a kid and thinking my brain might explode! I love seeing them think so intently on life and their purpose here on earth. It is mind boggling sometimes, I have to admit!

Some pictures that have nothing to do with my post!!!!!!!!!

Kara lost her tooth on her trip in a ice cream cone cupcake! We are afraid she might have swallowed it! As you can see she is horrified!

My little thinker!

My little yacker loves spinach!

Hayden and his pal George! Wore this to school for St. Patties DAY! They just love each other!

Hayden won a bunch of awards at school so we had to get these in here!!

Vegas Trip!

Here goes! Our trip to Vegas! We started out at 4am on Sunday Morning! Unbelievably we actually left then. Brent had some work he had to do on Saturday and then we spent all day packing, so we actually left on time! I know most of you are in shock by now! Natalie was following us and we had planned to go straight through Nevada. It is a 2 way street, but is suppose to be faster so we thought we would try. Brent had been that way before and had had some bad experiences so as we drove out we were trying to decide if we should take that route. Well to try and make a long story short (I know it is already getting long and I am getting bored already) we took the short cut through Nevada! Well a big, huge, crazy spring storm decided to blow in and about kill us. The roads became almost undrivable and we could barely see to drive. The snow was falling so fast and thick! We finally decided we had to turn around or else we were going to be stranded on this road. We saw many cards slide off, a semi almost hit 3 cars head on, and some one almost slid right into Nats car as they were sliding off the road. Well luckily we turned around adding only about 4 hours to our journey. We made it back to the main highway where we could only drive about 40miles an hour. I drove for a little while which caused some major stress in the car! Brent was going to try and sleep, but I kept him awake, with my driving. Seriously the roads were miserable, and if you passed someone the snow would fly up and blind you. I hated driving! So anyway when we finally made it to Utah the roads were better, and we were only pelted with snow, hail, and rain the rest of the way. Luckily we only ran into one traffic delay! So a trip that was going to take 9 hours took us 17!! I would like to say that I have angel children, but actually I think I have to give credit to the DVD player and all the technological advancements. Oh and one more little fun hang up. So as soon as we arrived at our hotel, we found out the pool was closed! I had called before booking just to make sure the hotel pool was open! So Brent talked them into moving us to their sister property where the pool was open! We did lock ourselves out of the adjoining room, which I guess is hard to do. The rest of the trip was lots of fun! We were able to see some old friends that we wish still lived by us and also were able to spend time with B and B and the girls. We arrive back home in Idaho at 4am on Saturday! We wanted the trip to be exactly 6 days! LOL
