Sand Dunes in Reno!

I forgot about these pictures! On our way home from Reno the kids (meaning mostly Hayden) were begging for us to stop so they could run up and down these sand dunes on the side of the road!

Halle was asleep in the car (was is the key word).

I wish the beach sand was this nice!
Grandma Dobbs had her Birthday the other day. We all went to Fudruckers to celebrate. The kids had made her cards, but the boys had been distracted by some of the games so we decided to open gifts with out them. I was reminding the kids that Great Grandma Benge's birthday was coming up on Friday. Hayden then said, "what about Grandma?" I said, "remember we celebrated at Fudruckers!" He said, "what about my card?" I said, "oh she loved it, you must have been playing video games when she read the cards. She thought it was really funny!" He said, "really it wasn't suppose to be funny!" Kara looked at him and said, "Hayden grown-ups think everything is funny. Whenever they read a card it may just say "Have a great Birthday Grandma!", but all the grown-ups will laugh!" I did feel a little bad that we laugh at all the cards, mostly because the cards they make are really cute. I have to tell you that Hayden's card said, "Happy Birthday Grandma! I hope your day is full of bugs!" He had then drawn a lady bug. Hayden had been asking me what grandma really loved and we had talked about her garden and so I think he decided she must love bugs, especially bugs for her garden. I hope I never get wished a day full of bugs, because unlike grandma I really don't like bugs! I really love how kids think. It really does make life fun.

Kara's City Project!

Every year the third grade class builds a city. Hayden had done it so I had been preparing myself for Kara's turn. Kara was really excited! She chose the Pumpkin Patch!

We absolutely had to have a corn maze. That corn maze was hard!

It turned out pretty good!
I think she was proud of it! Off to school with it! Yeah!

Kara's trip to see Brooklynn Baptized with G&G!

Kara got to go to Reno with Great Grandma Benge and Grandma and Grandpa to see her cousin baptized. She was so excited! Unfortunately I think her excitement turned into car sickness as she vomited on the way. At first we thought it might be the flu curse, but thank goodness it was just car sickness. Sorry Grandma and Grandpa!

Kara had so much fun!
I wasn't there, but Grandma took the pictures and I think it's safe to say she had a great time with her cousins.

She didn't even want to come home!

At the Baptism!
Kara and cousin Carson
Kara, Brooklynn, Grandma, and Great Grandma!
Funny faces???
Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for taking her with you! Thank you Reno Dobbs for letting her stay with you and showing her such a good time. She loves her cousins. We can't wait to see you all soon. The kids are counting down the days like it's Christmas. I think this year I'll just wrap some cousins up under the tree for the kids.

Halloween!

Halloween Again???? It's that time of year again when I feel good about eating lots of candy, because well that means I'm a little closer to not having any candy left in the house to ruin a good day of eating. We dressed up so many times I lost track! Kara stuck with the Witch idea!

All the kids at the tunk or treat. Hayden's friend Brendan stayed with us while his family was gone. Kara was a little angry. She was a witch I have to admit! She wanted me to spray her hair black. I had her flip her head over to get underneath. Well..... it caused it to stick up! I guess witches don't like that! I actually thought it looked quite witchey!

Hayden worked long and hard at his costume. Many hours were spent gathering, planning, and thinking about this costume!!!
Kelton also spent a lot of time on his costume. He wanted to be very scary! I noticed a lot of boys his age as skeletons, so I guess they all wanted to be scary! I begged him to be something cute just one last time, but Brent encouraged him to be scary.
Halle had a list of ideas. We dressed up all week at preschool, so she was about everything you can imagine. She is a Fairy Princess here!
I think the Witch ate tooo much candy!

Brendan was so polite the whole time he stayed with us. He even said, "Let me step out of the picture so you can get a picture of just your kids." What 11 year old boy thinks of that?? Anyways, I'm sure he was glad to get back to his home, because sometimes we are crazy! This weekend we were especially crazy. Brent blasts the music and the kids run around yelling, looking for costumes, chasing, and screaming. I run around trying to help them all the while saying, "hurry get into the car were going to be late!" YEP were always late!!! YEP the house was a mess too!

Kara got invited to a Halloween party too! She went with some friends and had a great time.

This little crew went to the school trunk or treat. Kelton was iron man. He loves iron man. He said, "I really want to be iron man, but I think the other kids might laugh at me." He chose to wear it anyway! George and Reggie went too. George was a cool guy (I think), Reggie was hmmm Han Solo with a gun, Halle was a Princess, and Hayden was Frankenstein?? My friend showed me how to do a good painted face. I think Hayden's turned out pretty good. All the kids looked like Hayden for the Youth Party, but alas I did not get a picture!!!!!

We made it!

Hayden Football!

Hayden played flag football this fall! He tried really hard this year! When you live in Idaho you just have to love football. Hayden started out in soccer and then he decided he really wanted to play football. I wasn't so sure I really wanted him to, but he was sure that he wanted to play. He really wanted to play tackle, but we told him he had to prove that he really wanted to play and show a little heart, knowledge, and skill in the game first.

In the last two games Hayden intercepted the ball and ran the ball in for a touch down! He was so proud of himself and so were we. I'm still not sure if I want him to play tackle football especially after his little friend stayed with us and named off half his team that were injured last year in football.

I am very proud of Hayden for working really hard at something that was not easy for him. He started out not really even being able to catch the ball a few years ago. He would come home from school and say "I play football with the kids at school, but they never throw the ball to me because I'm not good." I always felt so bad for him, but that is the facts of life. He never seemed too bothered by it at least he did not seemed bothered. Well, I think he is pretty good now! Good job Hayden for sticking with it. You did Awesome!
Oh I have to add too that Hayden's team started out as the underdog loosing all of their games in the beginning and then all of the sudden they just came a live and finished 3rd in their tournament. All of us parents couldn't believe it was the same team!
Grandma and Grandpa came to a few games too, which Hayden really appreciated. Grandpa took a lot of time practicing with Hayden. I brought my camera to the last game they came to and took all these really cute pictures, and even got the cutest picture of my mom and dad. I got into the car to go through them all and it popped up with No SD card! I was sooo bummed and could not believe it, because during the game I kept scrolling back through all the pictures.

Movie Night

We had movie night with the Kleven's and the Thorson's! We watched "How to Train Your Dragon!" Dan provided us with lots of treats (he buys candy like Brent).
Notice that Halle and Peyton are missing! They decided they would rather have more play time! They are inseparable when they are together!

Movie's Zombify the kids!
