Hayden loves to write and act out plays! So Sunday he wrote, directed, and acted in his play! He gets very excited about making sure everything is just right, and very funny! He invited Kara, Kelton, George, and Reggie to act in his play. He also invited Grandpa, Grandma, Nanny, Grace, and Natalie to watch. Below is the play he wrote:
Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess she was so beautiful no one could resist her. Thats why she was in danger. Then, one night a black knight came and took the princess away. The princess woke up and cried, (Kara) Oh! I'm in peril! So much peril! (George) Oh, Be quiet princess! Your going to marry me! (Kara) "Oh! Don't!" The three knights woke up and the bigggest one howled out (Reggie) "The princess!" The second biggest knight said (Hayden) Princess what pr The princess! Well why didn't you say so!" Then the smallest knight (Kelton) "OOF" (Hayden) "Did you hear that!" (Kelton) "Hear what?" he said drowsily. (Hayden) "Hear What?" he said in disbelief. (Hayden) "The princess is in Peril!" (Kelton) "What!? We have got to go!" So they ran out the door. They ran and ran until they came to a cave. In it they saw the princess! What happened? They started filling her with questions. (Kara) "MMMM", she said in anger. (Kelton) "Oh you are all tied up!" (Reggie) "Well, We will let you be." And with that those dumb knights walked away. Now the princess and the black night had a weird life. But, it worked out. Some people think he regreted it. Others doubt.
The play was funny and Hayden sang some silly songs at the end, which made us all laugh! He said to Brent afterwards, "Dad, even you laughed!" If Brent laughs it must be FUNNY!

Hot Chocolate

Halle gets into the hot chocolate and lots of whip cream fun.
Kelton contemplating.
Kara sipping.
Hayden waiting for his to cool.
Grandma and Halle! This is Halle's favorite person. If Grandma is around she tells me to go away! She also asks to go see Grandma all day long!!
The kids favorite thing to do is have hot chocolate and lots of whip cream!! As soon as it looks a little bit rainy or cold the kids want to bust out the hot chocolate and whip cream. The giggles begin almost immediatly, who new hot chocolate could be so much fun.

We got up early this morning and went to a Karate tournament for Kara and Kelton. They both did a great job! Grandma and Grandpa came and help Cheer them on. We thought Kelton would freeze up, but he did great. I think the moral support from big sister Kara helped! These two are really sweet together and just really love each other.

Haydenisms

9/29/08 Hayden came home today and gave Kara a ring he had gotten from school. Kara was so happy she was just glowing. Hayden did not tell anyone that he had given it to her, but she came down right away and was so happy. It is so nice when siblings do thoughtful things for each other. Hayden is sometimes a little competitive with Kara so I think it really meant a lot to Kara. Kara has not taken the ring off, she thinks it is so beautiful.

10/2/08 Hayden came to me and said, "Mom I have finally decided what I want to be for Halloween. I want to be a ghost, the only problem is they don't make costumes like that anymore!" Well I think I can make a ghost so he is happy about that!!

1/13/2008 Hayden was spotlighted at school today and he was suppose to bring one of his favorite books to school. He had chosen a book of poems "Falling Up". Brent said, Why don't you share the Warriors series with the class (It is Hayden's favorite book right now, he has read 12 of the 300+ pg books since school started at the end of August)? Hayden then replied, "If I bring that book all I will want to do is read all day, and I don't want to tempt myself!"

10/15/2008 We had lunch at school today with Hayden. He was very excited, although he remained cool, calm, and collected.

10/28/2008 I told the kids this year we were going to save our money and just wear costumes we already had. Hayden had been talking about really wanting to be a Jedi, so when I went to Target and saw that all the costumes were on clearance. I found one Jedi costume left in Hayden's size so I decided to buy it and suprise him with it!! When he got home I said go look on your bed, he ran upstairs to see, I thought he would come down and be vey happy! Instead he came down stairs very concerned, he said, "Mom I did not want you to spend your money on this costume, I do not need this costume." He was very concerned about using money we do not have! I love this very responsible little boy!!!

Karaisms

8/28/08 Kara was getting out of the Car to go to Ballet and she looked at me and said, "Oh How do I look, Do I look O.K.?" She then patted her hair and ran into Ballet.
8/29/08 Kara cleaned the playroom all by herself again! She also sets the table every day. She would love to use our best dishes every day and for every meal. She is very disappointed when I say it is a paper plate night.
10-23-08 Kara made a goal to wake up in the morning on her own, get dressed, and come down stairs happy. So this morning she came down the stairs all dressed with this big smile painted on her face!! She is so funny. We were thinking of goals and Kara does everything really good so we were having a hard time thinking of a goal that she had not already accomplished. I think we will be looking for something else for her to improve upon soon!!
11-9-2007 Kara sang in church today!! She sang I love to see the temple in sacrament meeting!! She was great! She stayed on key the entire time and was not one bit nervous. There was at least 200 people in the audience!! I think she may be our little singer. I really could not believe how well she did!!
