The third grade build Paramount city at our elementary school every year. Hayden chose a construction site! Brent and Hayden built it together, but it definitely looked like Hayden did it all alone. Hayden was very proud of it, and that's all that matters, right? Some of the buildings the kids did were really amazing. Their parents were very talented(they even had electricity)!!

Orange Belts!!
Kara and Kelton tested and received their Orange Belts!!! Yeah for Kara and Kelton!! They have worked very hard to get their Orange Belts! They have been behaving very well and really working on their goals! They memorized their first Songham and both performed great!! Kelton beamed from ear to ear when they called his name!!
Last Day of Fall Swimming Lessons!
We have been taking swimming lessons every Wednesday! Today was our last day until after the Holidays. Halle and Kelton absolutely love it! They love to swim! Halle is of course a little Spazzzzzzzz!! I wish everyone could see her. She is such a good swimmer, and so unbelievably full of it! I usually get my laugh in for the day just watching her swim! The way she does everything is just sooo funny to me. Kelton is also a very good swimmer. He is also very patient with a sister that can be very, well, I just don't know how to describe her, but he is a good brother and endures watching the 12 dancing princesses and being last!!

A Mouse in our House!!
Here is Mr. Mouse!! I HATE MICE!! Well this little critter was running around in our house leaving its droppings around!!! Very gross!! It showed itself last night!! It ran or crawled (for all of you Tom and Jerry fans) out into the kitchen while we were treacherously trying to finish Hayden's Construction project. It scared us and we scared it and it ended up under the stove! Well we of course had just cleaned out the garage and I had taken it upon myself to throw away all of the traps we had (they looked a little dirty). I have also been organizing so that means their is nothing left in the house, because I have thrown almost everything away! I have only had to go threw the garbage twice, but that is another story in and of itself (how come as soon as you throw something away it becomes a life or death situation, that tiny piece of paper that has meant absolutely nothing for an entire year is now the piece of paper that is needed to save you hundreds of dollars!!) Anyway back to my story!! I immediately called the people I know who are always prepared!! Mom and Dad!! They have mouse experience!! They of course came through!! Dad was at my door in a matter of seconds! He had the hard core traps, the ones that actually snap the mice in two (yuck). He smothered them with peanut butter, and this morning I awoke to a dead mouse! I tried not to look, Brent took it out!! I of course will be disinfecting my house for the next few days!!Tuesday, November 11, 2008

Kara Sings
Sunday Kara sang in church for the primary program. She sang a solo in front of oh I don't know at least 200 people. There are lots of people in our ward. They always open the gym and fill it up! To give you an idea of how big it is just imagine the primary actually taking up half of the seats in the chapel! Well she did a great job! She sang I love to see the temple, the second verse. She stayed in tune the entire time and did not seem the least bit nervous or scared. She seems like a shy little girl, but put her in front of a large audience and she performs!!! We were very proud of our little Kara! I sure could not have done it! She brought her Daddy to tears!!

Good Bye Halloween Hello Rain Hello Ballet Girl!
Well, another holiday has come and gone and my kids are just a little older!! My last baby has experienced her first real Halloween and I was there to enjoy the excitement of her first!! I feel so blessed to have these four beautiful little people to love! I love experiencing the world with a child, everything is fun, exciting, and uninhibited. I woke my little dancer up from a deep sleep and she looked up at me and said "I need my ballet!" I said "Have you been dreaming about dancing?" and she said, "I need my ballet!" She told me for Christmas she needs some new pink tights, and more pink leotards. She does not like to wait for them to be washed. All these clothes do make going to the bathroom quite a chore, but the joy of being a ballerina is worth all the clothing changes, I think!!

Halloween!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN
Halloween is always a fun time of year! The kids get really excited! Kids make everything so much fun! Kelton wore a few different costumes before he landed on Iron Man!! The weather was great, it was about 70 degrees, so the kids didn't have to wear their coats!! Halle was in a trance! She thought trick or treating was lots of fun! When we got to grandma and grandpa's she was a little confused as to whether she wanted to stay or if she should continue her new adventure!! Halle started out a Ballerina, but we talked her into putting her princess costume over her Ballet outfit for a little while!! The kids dashed through the neighborhood, and then finally pooped out! We then came home and Brent blasted the Halloween music, we lit all the candles in the house, and we danced, and the kids jumped on the couch like little monkeys!!
This is what happens after the kids have had a little too much candy!!
