I don't know what to Call this...............

I came home from work to find no one home, so I decided to go exercise  but the gym was closed it being New Years Eve and all.  So my next favorite thing to do alone is post pictures and write.  I remember I had a few pictures on my camera that I hadn't downloaded.

I'm so glad I decided to download my camera because I found this cute picture of Grandma and Nanny smiling with their canes.  They both look so cute.
Our little place settings!  Turkey's, Pilgrims and Nanny's China
Cute little boys enjoying the toy that spans all ages!
Cooking and eating in the kitchen!

 Uncle Ryan.

The tree in our front yard after the snow.  I love how the snow looks on the branches of trees.  Pictures just don't do it justice!

How come it is so hard to get a picture of snow coming down.  It looks so beautiful while your watching, but when you try to take a picture it just doesn't look the same.
 Same with the Christmas tree.

So this is Reno in the winter.  I think it looks beautiful.   I love the mountains surrounding the houses.  It's like a little village.  I don't like the cold much, but it's so pretty it's hard not to like it.

Its amazing how much your surroundings can affect you.  I decided to take these pictures which don't really do the beauty of it justice, because when I drive home this is my favorite part of my drive, and it just makes me so happy.
I love the West.  I never knew how much I loved the West until I left.  I love the West so much it almost makes me want to be a cowgirl.

It's almost 2013 and I haven't even finished 2012.
I'm definitely ready to make some new goals for 2013.  I love making goals, even if I don't accomplish them.  It gives you so much hope.
I love being a mom.  Lately I feel I've been too busy for one of my favorite things, writing about some of the funny things my kids say and do.  The kids built a huge fort in the living room.  Halle and Kelton made a huge fort out of the couch.  Kara came in and begged me to have them build their fort in the play room because she did not want the house to be messy! She said, "Why can't they build it in the play room where no one can see it.  It's going to make our home a mess.
A nice man in our ward offered to pay the kids to come do some work at his office.  Brent thought this was a great idea.  Kara however thought her world was over and cried and cried about it.  Brent made them all go and when they got there he said Kara and Kelton turned into little worker bees.  She absolutely loved it, and Brent said the kids were great little employees.
Halle got her blood drawn and did not cry one bit.  She also had to pee in a cup and Brent had to catch the pee.  He said he wished he had asked for a glove, because the pee was coming out everywhere and he had to try and catch it.  He thinks collecting pee from girls is very hard.  If you know Brent and pee you'll know this was a horrific experience for him!

A few little funnies........

.
Me "Kara can you please use a nice voice?"  Kara, "Mom you can't always use a sweet voice when your frustrated!"

Kelton's new thing is to follow whom ever will listen around and ask the question, "Would you rather________ or would you rather___________."  His best "Would you rather" question of the day was, "Would you rather have more money or would you rather have more time?"  Another one was "Would you rather be a greedy rich man or would you rather be a nice poor man?"

Halle has decided to add some of her own "Would you rather's" since Kelton constantly is asking us this question.  Halle's "Would you rather question of the week for anyone that would listen was, "Would you rather be naked in the car or would you rather be naked outside while it is snowing?"

Gotta go the kids are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Happy New Year!  May we all find joy in the little things this New Year!

Pictures from Thanksgiving as I promised.  I should try not to write anything, but I just can't help myself.  Every time I think I'm too busy to blog anymore I look back at my old posts and it brings back so many good memories it motivates me to take the time to try and keep up.
Thanks Mom and Natalie for taking all these pictures and for sending them to me.  I was feeling a little bit lazy.  So lazy I didn't even want to pick up my camera.
Look at all those boys!  We are missing 7 boy cousins too.
Thanksgiving hors d'oeuvres get a thumbs up.  Don't you hate when you spell something so wrong that the spell check doesn't even know how to correct it.
Getting ready for the main event!
Cleaning up after the main event!
 Dessert time!
Ryan and Kathy try to kill each other with nerf swords while Brent and Natalie completely space out!

We always look forward to time with family.  They never disappoint.  The kids had lots of fun playing together.  Coloring fashion dolls with Natalie, playing flag football with the fam, jumping on the trampoline, playing grandma and grandpa's x-box, and most of all just being together.  Thanks Mom and Dad for having all of us.  I know it is a ton of work for you, but you always make it look so easy.
