We had a wonderful Christmas! The kids were so excited about everything which always makes Christmas fun! Halle woke up crying at about 7am so we decided to get up then! She usually sleeps until 10:30 in the morning so we were surprised when she got up early! Hayden could not go to sleep because he was so excited! He finally fell asleep at midnight! I love seeing the kids so excited and happy. Grandma and Grandpa made a big breakfast and grandpa made some really delicious omelets with his new omelet maker. Brent stayed home the next few days with us and we barely left the house. It was fun just being home playing with the kids and not worrying about all the other things. Brent is a really good at playing so the kids have been in heaven. The snow was lots of fun too! I was grateful for such a nice warm home and a wonderful family to celebrate the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Christmas Eve!

CHRISTMAS PLAY! Everyone wanted to love on the little Star!! Kara had asked me earlier if Tiger was going to play the star or baby Jesus?? I thought that was soo cute!

The entire Cast! The angry angel, Halle, Hayden: the innkeeper, Reggie and Kelton: Shepards, Kara: Mary, George: Joseph, and Tiger: Baby Jesus!! Baby Jesus was so good and so cute!

Mary(Kara) smiling at Joseph(George)!

Everyone wanted to hold baby Tiger!!

Dinner! Notice only the adults are still eating! We had Nanny, Chris, Dallas, and Katie at our home for dinner! Later Natalie, Grandma, Grandpa, Great Grandma Benge, George, Reggie, and Knute(George and Reggie's dad) came for the play, refreshments, and a surprise visit from old St. Nick. I wasn't in control of my camera so I did not get a picture of the whole group!
Kara set the table for me! She loves everything pretty! She is such a good helper. She cleaned the entire upstairs that morning, and then helped me with dinner. Halle, Kelton and Kara went down to Grandma's house Christmas eve morning and played with Great Grandma Benge, Nanny, and Grandma! They had so much fun! Kara and Kelton came home and told me "mom you know you should never stand on a high chair table!" They continued to tell me that great grandma Benge had told them that one of her boys had stood on the high chair by the stove and then fallen off of the high chair onto the stove and burnt his head and to this day he still does not have hair on his head!! I have not checked my sources, but they were really impressed by the story. It is fun to see my little children find so much excitement and love their grandma, grandpa, and great grandma's so much!
We had a very nice Christmas Eve! The kids were very excited and wanted to make sure we were staying true to our traditions. Kara and Hayden were sure they were going to be opening pjs in their Christmas eve gift. Kara wanted to go through the play a couple times and wanted to add a few parts for the recreation of the birth of baby Jesus (we definitely should have done that)! Hayden also wanted to make sure that when we woke up in the morning that we were going to sing on every stair before we saw what Santa brought! Halle was just excited for Santa to bring her some lipstick! Kelton just went along with the crowd!

Grandma, Grandpa (out of town), Nanny, Aunt Natalie, George, Reggie, Hayden, Kara, and Kelton!!! We had lots of fun! Halle wore her ballet clothes all day long, and we had a dance after we ate cake and ice cream! Halle loved all of her presents! She got lots of fun ballet outfits from Grandma, Nanny, and Natalie! She also got a little stuffed puppy from Hayden, Kara, and Kelton, and a doll from Mom and Dad. Halle brings so much joy and energy into our home! We just can't imagine life with out these sweet little children! The joy that you feel when your child smiles is best present and one of the best things in life! I hope that I can always remember to enjoy these beautiful moments in my life! Thank you Halle for adding so much to all of lives.

Kara at her performance

I thought I would add a quick update!! This week we had lots of school parties and performances. I really thought I was forgetting something all week. Saturday the kids got up early and got all their chores done so we took them to Game Works, which they thought was really fun. They have a miniature bowling Alley that Halle loved (I did not bring my camera so no pictures). I love Sundays! It is the only day you don't have to feel guilty! No exercising, and just a time to really spend time with the kids. We decided to make sugar cookies for the neighbors. The kids actually did a really good job! I thought it was going to be a lot messier! I usually hate making sugar cookies and avoid it at all costs, but for some reason it was more fun this time! Halle made some very floury cookies! Then we headed out to find someone had shoveled our driveway!! Thank you to our wonderful neighbors! So instead of spending 1 1/2 hours shoveling the walk, we went sledding in the park! Kelton fell off his sled and hit his head on a rock! We told him to brush it off and that he would be fine! When we got home we found that he had split the back of his head open pretty good! Since it is in his hair he did not need stitches!! Brent and I were only up till midnight cleaning our mess and wrapping Halle's Birthday presents(:
